A tradition worth keeping

Since 1843, when the first Christmas card was commissioned, they have become a big part of Christmas. With over 600 million bought in the UK, we really do love a card or two at Christmas.

The act of sending Christmas cards can show friends, family and work colleagues that you are thinking of them. For many of us, the simple act of sending a card makes us feel closer to loved ones, and for the recipient, ripping open the envelope and reading the card is a true pleasure.

Choosing what card to send is a matter of personal taste, but if you’re looking for some inspiration, this is what some of our customers are buying this year…14038 cut

We love Christmas cards with snowy scenes, which is why Winter Sunrise is one of our favourites this year and it’s clearly a favourite with many of you too. Looking for something which is guaranteed to make the 15032_Two's company twin packrecipient say ‘ah’?   Our Two’s Company twin pack, Christmas Friends and Winter Slumber cards are cuter than cute.

For those traditionalists amongst your nearest and dearest, we think robins and a roaring fire are just the 15018thing – A Snowy Pair and Relaxing by the Fire are sure to delight. A Saviour is Born and All the Animals Watched are two wonderful cards telling the nativity story.

15000_bringing home treeWho can resist a giggle at Christmas time? If Bringing Home the Tree doesn’t raise a smile or two, we’ll eat our (woolly) hats! And finally, a marvellous way to celebrate our terrific guide dogs themselves is Guiding Lights – a 14011heartwarming card showing these magnificent creatures proudly wearing their harnesses.

And remember, you don’t need to choose just one pack of cards – when you buy four packs of selected cards, you’ll receive a free pack of mini-bows (while stocks last). So get choosing, get writing and get posting!
